The Foundation believes that every school going child has the right to a safe space for them to study, play and develop holistically. We also understand that many students might not have this space – and that is where the After School care programme comes in. The objective of this programme is to provide children from deserving families a safe haven for an additional 3-4 hours outside of the normal school hours. During this period of time, students will be occupied with enrichment activities and academic lessons.
This programme has been running for 3 years, commencing in 2010 with SJKC Yu Hua as a pilot school. Following the success of the programme at SJKC Yu Hua, the programme expanded to include:
- SJKC Kempas Baru in Johor
- SJKC Kuo Min in Negeri Sembilan
- SJKT Durian Tunggal, Melaka
- SK Lok Yuk, Lahad Datu
The Foundation is currently looking to further expand the programme by partnering with other organizations who share our vision and have skills and expertise in running similar programmes.
